Random
TV: New 90210=total guilty pleasure. Will I watch again? Maybe, but I’m not about to set the TiVo. That’s reserved for Project Runway, documentaries, Top Chef and maybe ANTM (it starts tonight).
RNC: The USA chants were just ridiculous
Music: My awesome baby’s daddy ordered me three LPs in one week. (all circa late 1990s) For those that care: ‘Goddamnit’ re-release & ‘Maybe I’ll Catch Fire’. I think tonight I’ll cook dinner while listening to Radio over and over again. ‘Guided Tour of Chicago’ should be here any day now. Telephone. Telephone.
Baby: 2 months, seriously 2 months from today is my due date. If a scheduled C-section is necessary, we may meet our little dude a little earlier/later. Not that if I have a natural birth he’ll be right on time, but one can hope! He is keeping me up at night now with his punching, kicking, stretching, whatever else he’s doing in there. I think we’ve basically decided on a name, but 100%, so we’ll keep it to ourselves for awhile.
Rants: Everything wears me out, but I have so many lists in my head (and on paper). I want to cook all the time, but can’t stand for too long without totally feeling like the room is spinning – oh the joys!

needs.
i really need to load some photos.
in exciting news: the baby is going to have an awesome nursery, and if it all works out it will mainly be because of an awesome artist friend with amazing talent. the initial sketch was perfect (minus the cat that will be removed. ew cats are gross).
this weekend is the first of a month straight of weekend baby/wedding showers for family members (and myself).
this week was hard. not feeling good just makes work that much harder and thanks to missing a little...i am way way behind. ugh.
p.s. don't get me wrong, i enjoy the olympics just as much as the next person. yes, i did stay up to watch gymnastics on more than one occasion. BUT, at the er the other day, there was a woman (in her late 70s/80s) who felt the need to page the nurse every 15 minutes or so and ask when she could go home to watch the olympics, you know, because she's watched every event. i have never heard the word 'olympics' repeated so many freaking times. unfortunately, i was there during a shift change too - which meant i heard it all twice. just when it looked like she'd be released, she found out she need a CT scan so they made her drink 'gross salty gatorade crap' (her words). so lucky me...i got to listen to about an hour of belching, loud, gross, disgusting belching. you may or may not know, but burping and dogs licking themselves are about the grossest things in the world to me and they both make me want to vomit. it was not fun. (jeez i'm long winded today)

i really have been slacking. i am just usually so exhausted at the end of the day i just stick to the following schedule:
4:30 get home, change into really comfy clothes
4:30 - 6:00 watch 90210 (it's on SOAP every day for 2 hours. right now they're in the kelli and donna own a trashy clothing store and steve is going to be a dad) UPDATE: STEVE had a baby girl
6:00 - ? watch news & figure out dinner, make my lunch for the next day and shower
7:00 - 10:00 lay around and think about the things i should be doing. falling in and out of sleep until i finally let myself fall asleep for the night.
whenever i am at home i constantly say to paul "do you want to feel him" "he is kicking me so hard right now" or, "i want something sweet" and i also go to the bathroom about 20 times (tmi).
this past weekend was AWESOME. me and the girls headed to shananana's grandparent's in piedmont. explored the grocery store, laughed way too hard about HO-MADE pies, played a ton of catchphrase and apples to apples, boated on the river and the lake, made good bbq and talked some trash (mainly about kbo - just kidding). girls on vacation do talk about ginny's more than they should.
while i was gone, my perfect husband painted the nursery and it is radical. none of that baby blue or pastels for our little guy. Buzz Blaster Blue ALL THE WAY. it's awesome and pictures to come soon. only 91 days to go until the baby is due (will he be an owen, william, alex or something else?)
i'm really excited and after childbirth classes i am even more ready for it all! (the time off work is going to be so great, both as a break and as a bonding time with the little one) the next few months are full of: wedding and wedding showers, baby showers, planning for wedding showers and looking at bridesmaid dresses (in the next 9 months i will be a bridesmaid 3 times and have two other weddings to go through - busy. busy.)

ban
oh, if you are my friend... please do not ever let me find out you use comic sans font. seriously, it makes me want to vomit [just add this to the already long list of things that make me really sick]
...
- our little dude really likes to flip around and kick me throughout the day. he is a big fan of going crazy when i am trying to sleep. it's fun!
- i really enjoy SYTYCD way too much
- i miss my friends and tomorrow's dinner club should be fun times [wishing we could get back on a schedule of weekly dinners, but i know it's just impossible these days]
- so many weddings in the next year, yet paul and i are still trying to plan a vacation to texas again, this time with a third passenger for the 12 hour drive [maybe an additional 3?]

you were the last good thing i ever saw
Long time no post. I don’t see it getting much better.
Points of Interest
Blues City Deli is amazing...seriously, best BLT ever!

I’ve started the new David Sedaris book of essays. “When You Are Engulfed in Flames”. It has me crying at lunch every day!

Call me a nerd, super-fan, whatever… I am totally counting down the days until the new Alk3 comes out. Out of the two songs I’ve heard, I totally dig one (even though paul hates it) and the other I am not into (but, it’s a dan song, & typically those aren’t my favorite). I'm about to go listen to the ep right now.
Next 12 months include: 5 weddings (4 family and 1 best friend), oh and a baby will be here in November!
6 days until we found out if we’re going to have a boy or a girl… I cannot wait much longer
This past weekend included: birthday dinner, zoo, kopperman’s, registry stuff, cwe art, U-Verse, checking out Ginny’s house and finally finding a crib!
Oh, and we bought a video camera, so anyone wanting to make animated films out of clay…give me a call!

i really need to clean my house. did i mention ever how awesome my husband is? because he totally doesn't let me do much these days as far as cleaning/cooking/etc. (i'm sure the cooking one is mainly my fault). he's a concerned dad and it's adorable. cheesy as it is.
random, but i really want dessert from niche and popcorn from poptions.
i thought, for about 1 second, about a pregnancy/baby blog and then decided against it. who wants to read about round ligament pain, irrational fears and weird food aversions? i donít ever really blog anymore, but if i do i might mention it here or there, but it wonít take over...at least thatís not my intention. but, here is one story to share...
i had my first ultrasound this past week and the waiting room situation was one of the most ridiculous things ever. here are a few quotes from hour or so i was stuck surrounded by four hoosiers. but first, here's the set up: teenage daughter is pregnant by a guy no one likes, who didn't make it to the ultrasound because he didnít have gas money. 9 year old brother is also there along with adult mother and teenagerís friend (who is a dude chugging Monster energy drinks). They all work at McDonalds (except the 9 year old)
teenage daughter: "they got fired for doing it in the walk-in freezer"
mom: "maybe they were just being spontaneous"
son: "so mom, how many brothers and sisters do i have?"
mom: "well, about 6 brothers and 3 sisters, but youíll only know your one sister"
son: "well who else?"
mom starts naming names and when she says "and your sister Star", son freaks out
son: "i have a sister named star?"
mom: 'yeah, your dad and crackhead tammy named their baby star, idiots"
then, daughter calls boyfriend from her momís cell phone and pisses him off purposely by asking why he isnít at the hospital with her, she hangs up and says heíll probably call back because he told her he loved her and all she said was thanks. 2 seconds later, her cell rings with the most awesome ringtone ever - as this was happening, she turned up the ringer and bascially held the phone out so the whole waiting room could know it was her phone and see how hilarious she was...
"what, it's just my babyís daddy...who, it's just my babyís daddy...huh, it's just my baby's daddy"
she answers the phone and says "i love you" (all while mom is yelling into the phone "no she donít, she's lying, she don't love you"). then a 10 minute conversation took place about how heís be in jail the whole time the baby will be alive anyway, so it'd all work out.
i was dying to have my name called and get out of the waiting room, but more importantly i wanted to see the baby and hear the heartbeat, which all was AWESOME!
then, i heard this conversation start...."so, is ronald mcdonald black or white?"
i can't even remember what happened after that, but it was nuts. it just amazes me that people think these are appropriate things to talk about loudly, especially with a young kid in the room. they spoke so loud and often looked around to make sure people were listening, it was just totally out of my realm of how people act in public.
it was probably a lot more ridiculous if you were there, but i was just floored....
i guess i don't get out much these days

totally slacking...
i've been too busy/tired/stressed/lazy to do much of anything the past three weeks.
i did buy both matt costa and she and him. dig them both.
today i plan on going through cds and listening to some lawrence arms, alkaline trio and pink floyd - that's the tone...
and eating bbq and playing pool/lrc with the family.

oh it's like 1999 all over again
stupid survey things. why did i even bother
What were you doing ten years ago?
probably going to the creepy for a show
What were you doing one year ago?
going to trivia night at lemmons (i miss this weekly event - too bad so many nerds go now it's pretty annoying to even walk in the place)
Five snacks you enjoy:
plain old almonds
lime tortilla chips
sonic's strawberry cream slush
bugle mix
gus'
Five songs you know all the words to:
every single song on goddamnit
every song on "Further North"
and every single song on most rilo kiley/jenny lewis songs.
(i never have been and never will be good at knowing song titles - that's for the husband to dork out about, not me)
Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
pay every ounce of debt we have
buy a apartment in paris
buy a lifetime pass for flights to paris
take all of my closest friends and family somewhere awesome - like dubai
donate (i know, generic answer..suck it!)
Five bad habits:
chewing my nails
wanting to go out to eat
being lazy
making list and not doing ANYTHING on them
getting obsessed with a CD and never taking it out (hello jonathan rice, you have been in my PC at work for well over a month and i am not yet tired of you!)
Five things you like doing:
hanging out with paulie
happy hour on fridays
family dinners
traveling
organizing things!
Five things you would never wear again:
stretch pants
scrunchies
troll earrings
multiples
and a prom dress
Five favorite toys:
etch-a-sketch
yatzee
LIFE
simple pen and pencil (that totally counts!)
the internet

it's been too long. between the holidays, work, both of us being sick, family stuff, a trip to indy and other random crap... i have neglected the internet world (except to read ridiculous stories about brittany spears sent to me by the famous KBO).
for real, an update, with photos, coming soon!
if you haven't already. check out shananana's blog (link to the right). it's my fav because i totally picture everything she writes as if she's saying it to me, and i love people who write like that!

i have the best friends ever.
early bday dinner at Saleems last week, then i enjoyed a great dinner at BARcelona on my actual bday.
halloween was spent with the shumates and their hotdog baby.
this week is finally dying down.
this weekend will consist of kickball and relaxing!

i really dig jenny lewis' boyfriend - johnathan rice. check out further north.
the donna's new stuff is pretty okay as well.
enough with the music. nolan is here, and he's perfect.

i'm done writing. time to watch matt skiba get tattooed (you know your husband must really love you, when he wakes you up to say "hey, your boyfriend is about to be on LA Ink, getting a tattoo, want me to tivo it?")
